What Should You Do as A Travel Expert with Your Fido
As a devoted dog lover, I love keeping my pet by my side whenever possible. Stylish dog carriers that resemble cute purses make quick outings, like grocery runs, effortless. However, many fellow dog parents often ask me about traveling on longer trips, so I wanted to address some of their most common questions here.

Can I take my dog camping? What do I need?
Yes, as long as you’re heading to a dog-friendly campground! Be sure to pack everything necessary to keep your pet safe and comfortable. In warm weather, prevent overheating by providing plenty of shade and a pet cooling pad. Bring enough food, fresh water, and a secure leash to prevent your pup from wandering off. Lastly, consider sleeping arrangements—if your tent isn’t spacious enough to share, why not give your dog one of their own?

But we plan to do a lot of hiking, and I’m worried that he won’t be able to keep up.
That is a worry; not all dogs are meant to run in the woods all day. If you’re concerned about your pet’s ability to keep up, I recommend utilizing a pet stroller. A dog jogger is designed to keep your dog safe and comfortable on practically any terrain. (If you plan to climb Mt. Everest, you might want to reconsider bringing your dog.)

What if I’m traveling by plane
The first thing you should do is ask the airline about any rules or restrictions they may have. Not every airline will let you bring your dog into the cabin with you. Many airlines require pets to be transported in the cargo hold, and temperature controls are usually in place to keep your animal from overheating. To avoid unpleasant surprises at the airport, ensure that pet carriers comply with airline regulations.

What if I want to take my dog abroad?
First, you need to complete your homework. In addition to checking in with your airline, you should research the legislation of your destination country. Not all allow tourists to bring pets, and many of those that do require a quarantine period, which can be a major setback to your holiday if you are not prepared.
Traveling with a dog may be a lot of fun. It simply requires a little more planning than going alone. However, as long as you do your study, you and your baby can enjoy the trip of a lifetime!
So, let’s pack and take your dog on the road!
